It got a little cheeky behind the scenes!
We started the day with hair and makeup. Our gorgeous glowy makeup was compliments of Boston makeup legend @jhollywood. He kept our makeup light to give pool and beach party vibes. We had been spray tanned the day before and so he only needed to add his magical finishing touches.
For hair, we went with a sexy wet look. This look is classic and is not difficult to achieve.
First, wet about 80% of the hair. Section your hair starting with the nape area. I use the Virtue Labs 6-In-1 Styler and 6-In-1 Paste at the root and then comb through to the ends to evenly distribute the product. This gives amazing shine and gives us that wet look without dripping. I do this section by section adding a few more spritzes of water and finishing each section with the 6-In-1 Style guard spray.
My hair was THIRSTY and would start to dry after 15-20 minutes. Meredith was behind the scenes watering me down when I needed to hop back in front of the camera. Next time I do this look on myself, I will be using Virtue’s curl butter and curl defining gel. In fact, this is my suggestion to all my gals with thick and coarse hair!
We shot on location at Jed8 Studios. We love working with Henry and his team. He has brought our brands to life. I recommend him every time! It was a blast being in the studio and working with the different lights and backdrops. We even sashayed around outside!
